Gerd Thöne

As a student/trainee the avid chemist assisted industry greats at Hoechst, Wacker und Henkel
From 1955–1977 he broadened his knowledge at his father’s chemical factory in Westphalia before founding “Fachlabor Thöne” in 1978. This was the beginning of an exemplary career as a founder of nano-technologically produced products with – up to now – 51 registered patents. “Fachlabor Thöne” received orders from all over the world (Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, China, Russia, Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, Ireland, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Portugal, USA and Canada)
His pragmatic approach to researching and developing products has made Gerd Thöne one of the most important pioneers of nano research.
In the future he will be assisted in his “nano” work for NanoSky AG by a competent research team from the University of Vienna.
